One of the experiences that Frutillar offers is visiting the great houses and gardens impregnated with Chilean-German culture. Both its charm and music will make a perfect combination of sensations.
We will begin our excursion by visiting Llanquihue, a city founded by German colonizers placed by the Llanquihue lake, characterized by its charcuterie production and for being the place of birth of the Maullín river.
We will continue our journey by following an ancient route used by German colonizers. By traveling the west coast of the Llanquihue lake, we will reach the beautiful city of Frutillar, which stands out because of its architecture, gardens and the formidable Teatro del Lago, which annually offers the famous “Semanas Musicales de Frutillar” (set of concerts performed at the theater) and an unparalleled view of the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes.
Then, we will visit the German Colonization Museum and we will head for the picturesque city of Puerto Octay, characterized by the German colonizers’ trace and recently declared “Zona Típica” (traditional area) by the National Monuments Council of Chile.
