Visit the city that is the start point of the Carretera Austral and the Patagonia fiords, and that is 20 km away from a city that connects itself with its colonial past though German architecture.
We will begin our journey by visiting the Puerto Montt’s main square. There, we will see the Cathedral and the German Colonizers Monument. From the Manuel Montt lookout, we will be able to appreciate the spectacular panoramic view of the city, the Reloncaví gulf and the Tenglo island.
Later, we will visit the picturesque Angelmó bay, the marketplace, the restaurants and the handicraft market, where we can find a great variety of local products.
We will continue our journey by visiting the city of Puerto Varas, also known as the “City of Roses”, placed by the Llanquihue lake basin. The city has a privileged view of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. We will stop by the main square, the old quarter and the Sagrado Corazón de Jesús church, which is an exact replica of a church located in Black Forest, Germany.
